Release ASUS RT-BE92U Firmware version 3.0.0.6.102_39061

After the upgrade, did anyone else have the Automatic Firmware Upgrade switch turn on? I had mine set to off prior to the upgrade, but noticed it was switched on post upgrade. I have now switched it off again. Otherwise, I haven't noticed any other issues. GJ

    AiMesh take 2: RT-BE96U and RT-BE92U

If you decide to keep the BE92U, I have some suggestions that I think made my IOT network more stable. Please note, I only have the BE92U and don't have an AI Mesh network setup. On the WiFi - Professional tab, with the 2.4GHz radio selected, I disabled "802.11b mode", since none of my devices...

    Asus GT-BE19000 AI

So can the NPU be used for anything networking related, even by running something in a container? I was kind of interested in this unit, not really for any need of my own, but in terms of "what the future holds!" I thought the the AI part of this model would be used for networking tasks...

Looking for Feedback: RT-BE92U stability issues

Nothing to do with this topic, but just be careful when covering up your barcodes, that you do a good job. There's enough of the bottom barcode showing to make it readable without any work, while the top barcode and the 2D barcode could probably be reconstructed with a small amount of effort...

Looking for Feedback: RT-BE92U stability issues

I've experienced repeatable 2 issues while on the current FW, both relating to the 2.4 radio. I have some smart bulbs, that if you switch them off at the power, so that they suddenly lose connection, the 2.4GHz radio will crash and restart. As I have said in posts elsewhere, I'm now avoiding...

    RT-BE92U super slow WIFI

I know this thread is pretty much over with, but thought I might show screen prints from the current fw, 3.0.0.6.102_38980, with the Region setting and the options within it, for reference if necessary down the path.

    RT-BE92U super slow WIFI

I won't be with the router until the weekend, but for me, the "Region" setting appears underneath the Tx Power Adjustment setting at the bottom of the screen. The below screen print is from an older fw (3.0.0.6.102_37563) and from the 2.4GHz page, but is generally what it looks like: (Do not...

    RT-BE92U super slow WIFI

I'm not with my unit at the moment, but from memory: - About half way down, the left hand side of the settings screen, there's a tab called WIFI something. Located around the LAN and WAN tabs. Click on it. - You'll now see a series of WIFI related tabs (horizontally). The first tab has some...

    RT-BE92U super slow WIFI

Probably too late now, but since you have a router from the communication company, Telstra, it suggests that you live in Australia. I noticed that the country setting under the WIFI settings for my RT-BE92U, it defaulted to "Asia", or something like that. I had to change mine to "Australia". I...

Best Practice/Settings for Current ASUS BE Firmware....

It's been about a month now since I originally read your post and started to transition my various devices to different SSIDs and I have to say that it has improved WIFI performance and stability by small amount. My kids haven't complained or said that things are better or worse, but the Log...

Big WiFi issue with latest firmware

I came across your post yesterday, looking for info about a different error that was appearing in the logs. By chance, last week I set the transmit power back to Performance, after reading that there were power saving bugs in the Broadcomm WiFi 7 drivers. The Redit post I read said to turn off...

I know, but rightly or wrongly, I'm not ready to give up yet. ;) GJ

Best Practice/Settings for Current ASUS BE Firmware....

Yes, I have an RT-BE92U and it is in a relatively simple physical setup. It is not in a mesh configuration (small house), so therefore it is the primary and only AP in the house. (No extenders either.) There are no devices connected via USB. I have also switched these features off in fw as I...

Best Practice/Settings for Current ASUS BE Firmware....

That's not how it seems to work. These "networks", as they labelled in the router UI, aren't VLANs, they are "different" wifi networks with different settings required to connect to the router. Connecting to network A, gives you just as much access to the router and other devices on the...

Best Practice/Settings for Current ASUS BE Firmware....

Originally, I set up my router like my old AC68U and had all devices on the same network with the same settings. At the start it worked ok, but things fell apart close to the end of the year with newer fw releases. I then set up the main network and the IOT network. At this point I realised...
