    Thanks for reply - the stock firmware looks pretty feature rich, so it may suffice, but I might check out your suggestion. I do want to put the IoT devices on a separate vlan & do things like that.

    Thanks for reply - I will check the logs with it connected to laptop again via ethernet. It was the internet connection being dropped, from laptop to wifi was okay. I think there is a firmware update so I'll see if I can update it by downloading the file, not sure if I can let the router...
