    The jffs partition is full

deleted TrafficAnalyzer db which was 38MB. No longer have the warning. For some reason formatting the JFFS partition on reboot isn't working even with the latest firmware.

    The jffs partition is full

Did you manage to solve this? I now have a similar warning "Your router is running low on free JFFS storage which could affect its stability.". I formatted the JFFS partition and the warning persists. In fact it stayed with this message after updating to the latest Merlin, and rebooting to...

[Official Release] AiMesh Firmware v3.0.0.4.384.20308 for All Supported Products

This seems solvable to me, as follows: Implement VLAN support. Put guest networks on a different VLAN. While there is no support for this in the UI currently, I've seen some stuff about adding VLANs during boot from the command line, so at some level the router does support it.. There needs...

[Official Release] AiMesh Firmware v3.0.0.4.384.10007 for All Supported Products

I don't consider using a single channel to be a "benefit". Does this yield quicker switching between nodes? Otherwise I'll definitely be sticking with normal access points.

[Official Release] AiMesh Firmware v3.0.0.4.384.10007 for All Supported Products

"MUST" is a strong word. I set Rokus, Chromecasts, and the thermostat to guest networks on the access point in the same room as them rather than leave it to chance which they connect to.

[Official Release] AiMesh Firmware v3.0.0.4.384.10007 for All Supported Products

Honestly, without support for the various handoff helping protocols (802.11k,r,v,s), an isolated guest Network that includes access points is the only compelling reason I see to use the mesh over access point mode right now.

Error Message 382.1.2 on AC88 Port Forwarding New Limitation - HELP

Does the nvram setting length also limit the number of static IP assignments we can have?

[Official Release] AiMesh Firmware v3.0.0.4.384.10007 for All Supported Products

This isn't good news for those of us intending to have nodes connected through MoCA. 10 Ethernet switches is still going to be less latency than WiFi backhaul. It seems wrong that this should matter.

[Beta 382] Asuswrt-Merlin 382.2 Beta is now available

AC3200 would be my last choice of current Asus routers. The "3200" comes from 600 on the 2.4GHz band, and 1300 on each of the 2 5GHz bands. There are only 2 80MHz blocks for 5GHz Wifi available in the US, so if you have a second access point, it will pretty much have to overlap with it on one...

    New AC88U wifi dropping

It's more than just the WiFi. A lot of settings changes, including changes to WiFi settings, it bounces the router and takes down the entire network. I'll try changing a WiFi setting and get complaints that the TV stopped streaming to the XBOX upstairs on a wired connection. Edit: You mean it...

    ASUS Makes AiMesh Official

I find that extremely disappointing. Without supporting any of the roaming related protocols, and no Mesh guest Network yet, I'm really not seeing any advantage over plain old access points with the same SSID. From the discussions so far, I think maybe it just introduces more bugs?

[Official Release] AiMesh Firmware v3.0.0.4.384.10007 for All Supported Products

As a general rule, the security on IoT devices is comically bad. Just unbelievably so. As an example, if our Ecobee loses internet for 4 hours, the session token gets reused by some other random customer's device and the app on my phone connects to said random customer's thermostat. Sent from...

[Official Release] AiMesh Firmware v3.0.0.4.384.10007 for All Supported Products

Google Wifi supports 802.11s. Don't know if it supports k, r, or v.

[Official Release] AiMesh Firmware v3.0.0.4.384.10007 for All Supported Products

This seems odd to me. Is it required even for wired backhaul?

End of year 2017 development update

The irony here is if you click "backbone" in the "seamless wifi experience" section at https://www.asus.com/AiMesh/ , it is clearly showing a tri-band router using the 2nd 5Ghz band as backhaul.
