I'll try it with a TP-link that I have with DD-WRT on it. The gateway is in the living room, the microwave is 1 wall and 15 ft away so I don't think that's an issue. I'll try the other channels but I don't think the Ubee can adjust Tx power. The SSID is very simple and not hidden.
