Do AiProtectipn Email Notifications Actually Work?

I've got it setup with an app password. I can even send test emails via SSH. I just can't get AiProtection to send an email when an event happens.

Do AiProtectipn Email Notifications Actually Work?

Interesting, that might explain why I can't get it to work.

Solved DNS Rebind Attack Message For Only Two Domains

Turns out I also needed to add this to the dnsmasq.conf.add file bogus-nxdomain=:: even though I have IPv6 disabled adding this fixed the issue above. I'll leave this here in case anyone else comes across a similar problem. Thanks, Harry

Solved DNS Rebind Attack Message For Only Two Domains

I use ControlD for my DNS servers which return 0.0.0.0 for blocked domains so I've added the following to my dnsmasq configuration via the dnsmasq.conf.add file: bogus-nxdomain=0.0.0.0 however, for some reason I keep getting the following messages in my logs every few seconds: Nov 15 15:03:33...

Do AiProtectipn Email Notifications Actually Work?

I'm able to test the email sending functionality via SSH using the email command directly so I assume things are configured correctly. However, no matter what I do I can't get AiProtection to send me an email. For example if I go to...

Temporary Loss Of WiFi And Log Full Of "acs_start eth7 cannot select chanspec with the wrong info"

I'm getting some strange results. The first time when I tried the "change to auto then change back to set channel" fix I was able to reboot but now when I reboot even the router the issue comes back. I've been able to track it down to cfg_server setting the acs_ifnames NVRAM key to "eth7"...

    Send Test Email From AiProtection?

That works. Strangely though as hard as I try to get the router itself to send me an email (for example by going to https://success.trendmicro.com/dcx/s/solution/1058379-urls-to-use-when-testing-wrs-functionality-with-the-local-smart-protection-server and clicking on the blocked URL) I still...

Temporary Loss Of WiFi And Log Full Of "acs_start eth7 cannot select chanspec with the wrong info"

It definitely is related to having a node. I did some more testing and using your work around fixes the issue even after a router reboot, but if you reboot the node, the issue comes back. So unfortunately it's not really a solution cause every time the node reboots you have to change the...

    Send Test Email From AiProtection?

Is there a way to get AiProtection to send a test email either via the GUI or via SSH? I'm trying to see if my settings are correct for it to send emails but I can't figure out a way to get a test email sent. Thanks, Harry

Temporary Loss Of WiFi And Log Full Of "acs_start eth7 cannot select chanspec with the wrong info"

Thanks for your help with this. Just one more question, do you use any AiMesh nodes? The other thread mentions that some people only started having this issue after adding a node which got me wondering if the incorrect NVRAM value mentioned above gets set incorrectly when a node gets added.

Temporary Loss Of WiFi And Log Full Of "acs_start eth7 cannot select chanspec with the wrong info"

Based on some NVRAM value comparisons it looks like the culprit is: acs_ifnames which by default is prepopulated with the 5GHz WiFi interface and changing the channel to Auto and then back to a preset channel clears this NVRAM value. You can also do so by running the following command via SSH...

Temporary Loss Of WiFi And Log Full Of "acs_start eth7 cannot select chanspec with the wrong info"

Interesting, that means that it must be a NVRAM value causing the issue which is weird because when you first confige the router the 5G channel starts out as Auto. I'll have to follow your steps and compare before and after NVRAM values to see what the actual issue might be for curiosity sake.

Temporary Loss Of WiFi And Log Full Of "acs_start eth7 cannot select chanspec with the wrong info"

Sorry, I meant if I follow your instructions does that only fix the issue until a reboot or power outage and after said reboot or power outage you once again need to switch the channel to auto and then afterwards to a specific channel, or do these steps fix the issue permanently?

Temporary Loss Of WiFi And Log Full Of "acs_start eth7 cannot select chanspec with the wrong info"

Does the issue come back after a reboot or power outage?

Temporary Loss Of WiFi And Log Full Of "acs_start eth7 cannot select chanspec with the wrong info"

That's the thing, it's already set to 80 MHz wide and a specific channel is selected but I'm getting this issue. Unfortunately using auto channel is not an option for me since only one channel is actually usable in my crowded environment but auto never chooses it.
