Dirty upgrade from 386.13_2 to 386.14 on both my main RT-AC68U and also on my RT-AC68U that is in Media Bridge mode. So far, all is well. I don't have any add-ons other than YazDHCP.
Live upgrade on an RT-AC68U from 386.12_4 to 386.12_6 two days ago. It isn't running any non-standard scripts, etc. other than YazDHCP. So far everything is working fine. (Edit to add: This router is a V2 model. I don't know what changes were made between this and the original. Just adding...
Just an FYI, since you say that have a "a lot" of devices on your LAN; the non-DSL version of the AC68U runs out of nvram fairly quickly when you start adding a lot of devices as DHCP reservations. Assuming that the DSL version shares most of the same software, and probably suffers the same...
That didn't happen on my RT-AC68U by just turning the VPN server off, hitting apply, and even rebooting. I had to also manually delete all of the certificate and key data, then I finally was able to see the option to select the RSA Encryption. All of that was being saved, even though I had...
Perhaps the protocol of the bulbs isn't compatible with the new router? I was at a friends office a couple of weeks ago and found that my ancient Toshiba laptop (2.4 GHz only, probably 12 years old) couldn't even see the SSID of the RT-AX86U Pro in his office. :( Made me wonder if the AX...
Isn't the same true of most technical forums? Forums where the first reply to nearly every new thread is "You didn't search first!" soon fade away... :(
Another thread mentioned that turning off auto-checking for updates solved the problem. You'll find it at Administration -> Firmware Upgrade tab -> Scheduled check for new firmware availability. Set it to No. Mine would lose its mind pretty often but it's been great for the last week to week...

Plug a single computer directly into the ethernet port on your ISP's modem. Use that connection for a while. If the problem still exists, then your router is fine and you'll need to convince the ISP that it really is a problem with their equipment (assuming that the modem belongs to them) or...
No problems here with the same hardware and firmware. The log page says that it's been up for 10 days 6 hour(s) 34 minute(s) 50 seconds. It currently reports that 19 clients are connected to it, most by wireless and a few wired.
