I currently have a Linksys AC1900WRT that broke yesterday due to accidental water spill. It worked ok but would get spotty wifi at times. I have some wemo devices, nest, a few smart tv's and one TV that works as our HTPC that is wireless unfortunately. I have a NAS so I dont care much for the...
Its a belkin ac1000 and it is plugged into port 1 on my wrt1900ac and the belkin ac1000 is set to access point. It should be receiving all dhcp and config info from the wrt1900ac due to how access points work.
Yes I did do that. I think its just linksys cannot get it down :(. I had 0 issues with this on the r7000. It just worked. Below is a screen shot of my port triggering. Both xbox's are dhcp reserved.
I played around with the port triggering yesterday. Still only one xbox one will go open. the other moderate. weird dmz, port forwarding or triggering dont matter. I wonder if the belkin AC router as an AP is causing any issue. Or maybe the firmware just has bad setup of upnp. :(
besides that...
I returned my r7000 last saturday and I have had the linksys since tuesday. For me the linksys has been rock solid. 0 Drops faster and more range covered in my condo.
There is a new electronic smell from the linksys that took about 2 days to wear off. It stinks and it was in my bedroom...
I did do that and yeah it was port 53 that was the culprit. I should also mention one xbox one is open the other is moderate and somehow i got it to strict but was able to get it back to moderate. It seems nobody else is having this issue.
I have the dhcp reservations on both. I have not used...
So far so good on this router. Only been a few hours. Only issue so far and its driving me mad!!! i cannot get my xbox ones to be open NAT. Furthermore if I open the ports as microsoft has them pointed to JUST the xbox ip... my internet does not work. There is 7 ports needed to be opened and i...
I did not. I got too busy and just did not have the time before my return window ran out. I am glad you have a better experience then I did. I just wonder if most people are hitting there home network as hard as I hit mine to even notice the issues i did.
I am in the same boat as you. I have a NAS and an HTPC that also has media content but is wireless. The r7000 and the 68u both had problems with wireless to wired staying up. they would both drop out.
I came from a linksys wrt610n that was working like a champ. Just stopped working for no...
For what its worth I would not recommend the R7000. I had 2 different r7000's over the course of a month and my old WRT610N happened to just start working randomly and i switched back to it until my new router comes in the mail and my wireless has been noticeably better.
The r7000 when...
anyone know if bestbuys website is current stock? I see its not available at the 2 local best buys. Been checking all week. Was hoping they would have got a new shipment.
Whatever the highest options are. My router I dont recall seeing it in mhz. it was based on speed in Mbps. I did 600 on the 2.4ghz range and 1300 on the 5ghz range.
I am not on my network now to check to be sure though. I am on stock firmware on the r7000.
I trust and respect your reviews and I trust the other sites as well. I think when things point to hard numbers from testing, its hard to lie. But i guess anything can be done. But as KGB7 said, I also view as many as possible to get a general consensus on something and base a purchase off that.
