Mobile devices will connect but "no internet access" with DNS over TLS turned on. Power cycled, same result. tried re-adding DNS to DoT list. Same result. Reverting.

    Wireguard MTU?

I'm using a Wireguard config from my VPN provider. I notice doing ping tests that it sets the MTU at 1420 for the WG connection. Is there any advantage to setting the MTU on the modem and/or the router WAN to 1392? RT-AX86U

WAN DNS (DNS Server vs DoT)

Looking at the WAN page, I understand I can assign the DNS instead of just getting it from my ISP. My question is how does this work with selecting "DNS-Over-TLS" under "DNS Privacy Protocol"? It would seem that these settings would compete with each other? Thanks.

CAKE settings for "IP Passthrough" (not bridged)?

    Here is the biggest packet I could get using the ping method. Is 28 then the correct number? $ ping -c 3 -s 1472 yahoo.com PING yahoo.com (74.6.143.25) 1472(1500) bytes of data. 1480 bytes from media-router-fp73.prod.media.vip.bf1.yahoo.com (74.6.143.25): icmp_seq=1 ttl=46 time=73.9 ms 1480...

CAKE settings for "IP Passthrough" (not bridged)?

Running my RT-AC86U with a BGW210-700 modem (ATT DSL). The modem does not offer a true bridged mode, but it does offer "IP Passthrough," which seems to do the same thing. My question is which of the CAKE "WAN Packet Overhead" and Mode (ATM/PTM/Normal) settings would apply here? On the modem...

    [Alpha] 386.2

I guess I'm in the same boat here. Video buffering is a lot shorter without any QOS, I guess. :)

    [Alpha] 386.2

Testing Cake and so far it works quite well, even with multiple video streams. Compared to FlexQOS, video streams seem to start more quickly (I had previously prioritized the "Work from Home" classification). I'll be testing VOIP and Zoom later today. Quick question re WAN Packet Overhead in...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.1 is now available

I have the same experience. I have to manually restart FlexQoS using amtm for the graphs to render.

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.1 Beta (stage 2) is now available

On beta5, I have to restart FlexQOS from amtm in order to get the FleQoS web GUI content to update in either tab (classification, FlexQoS). Wasn't an issue with beta4. I *suspect* the disk check script is causing the timeout, but I'm still sleepy.

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.1 Beta is now available

It's generally accepted that the automatic setting is inferior to the manual setting. Most people recommend: Perform speed test with QOS off using wired connection. Set upload/download speeds to 85-90% of those numbers (the upload speed is the most important one here). Set "priorities" using...
