I have a stable network. However, I am not running MLO for the time being. They did push out an update for the 96U the other day. It's curious in the notes they mention it is not recommended to downgrade the firmware. They must have discovered the same bugs some of us have.
This is reasonable but I'm trying to get things working in a way that I understand. If the product is supposed to perform a certain way, then it should. It could be I don't understand how it should work. In that case, I just need to learn.
Yes, tried that. Still prefers the 5 band on the 96U...When I go back downstairs it takes a minute or two but it eventually gets on the 6 band on the 98 pro.
I've meshed GTBE98 pro / BE96U. Ethernet backhaul. I setup the MLO network. Initially the iphone would not get a 6ghz connection anywhere. I found setting the security to WPA2/WPA3 personal allowed it to connect and boost the wifi speed in the BE98 zone. I thought WPA3 was required for MLO...
I changed over to this. At first the iphone wifi settings told me not to do this though. I turned off and on wifi and that message went away. It's still the same ip range. I think the Apple current releases have some wifi issues anyway.
Question - when you all create MLO networks are you naming it differently than the other wireless networks? I have a meshed BE98/96U network. I turned on smartconnect all radios. I set the 2.4 to 20mhz only. Everything else is default. That ssid is the same as my MLO ssid. Should I rename to...
Multiple rescue firmware loads, chatting with support, still not working and now one of them seems to boot for a bit and then go red status. Think I'm sending them back. They need more time in the oven and some firmware.
I see what you're saying but it's only pulling 300-400 mb. Then the issue is the port shows 100mb in the UI...so while it might be good enough, I don't want a bad unit. My other unit behaves the same way. You make me wonder if I should try to go back to the older firmware. The new one is...
I've got a couple ZenWiFi BT10, ethernet backhaul to the BE96u. It seems like the uplink is the correct 2.5g. I've tested that pipe by plugging the laptop in and making sure I'm able to pull 2.5 from the internet all the way across to the end device. However, when adding the BT10, I can't get...
Had problems with dns over tls in the December build. Seems to be working now. I'm using CloudFlare servers on port 853 for ip6/4....I don't think dnssec will work with dns-over-tls? I also think it's not really needed?
Same on the IOT. I'm not going to worry about it for now. It lets me flip the switch off, but still broadcasts. I don't have anything on there. I had all kinds of problems with the previous firmware - MESH notes offline, no secure dns, etc. I reset all three routers and rebuilt on the...
When I first installed this router, it came with the previous firmware. No issues at all. Everything worked (mostly 2.5gb ethernet) and I've never seen an iPhone download so fast on WiFi. I put the December firmware on and it's just hell. Mesh is broken, settings don't save, assigning IP...
