    I came here to check whether the new Merlin FW 386.7_2 is breaking the "fix" or not. I think I will stick with 386.7. I also notice that speeds, especially on my 5Ghz wireless devices, are not as fast as they originally were.

    Update: Updated both router and node to Merlin 386.7 Stable and no issues of any kind for 48 hours. Devices now (once again) connect at 5G to the node. Transitions from upstairs (router) to downstairs (node) are once again fast, almost seamless. If it continues like this, then I am a happy...

    What is the relevancy of the link to the problem discussed in this thread? The point remains that no 802.11AX capable devices in my home can connect to the AiMesh Node (AX68U) at 5.0Ghz, only 2.4Ghz for me. No matter what I try. If I turn off 2.4Ghz altogether then nothing connects to the Node.

    I am a bit relieved to find this thread. I thought I was the one going crazy! I am running two AX68U in an AiMesh scenario: one upstairs router and one downstairs node. I am running ASUS Merlin 386.5 FW on both of them with Ethernet backhaul. It just seems like 5Ghz is dead on the node. Right...
