    ASUS RT-AC3200 VPN Server

Looking at the system log, I see, that a certain range of IP-addresses is continuously trying to talk to the vpnserver; port numbers seem to be arbitrary; In my case : 185.200.118.xxx, where xxx is varying. Looks like this : Can I block a range of IP-addresses completely ?

Block all outgoing traffic, but allow for mail ( port 587 )

I thought about that but using the parental stuff seems always to win, regardless what you allow elsewhere.

    RT-AC66U

It is definitely a device problem. Using DHCP makes the messages disappear. Since the router can give them the same address each time, the problem is solved.

Block all outgoing traffic, but allow for mail ( port 587 )

Firmware is version : 3.0.0.4.382_50470-g033b865 I can use the parental control, but that blocks all ports. The email port should stay open. Reason : I have a Dahua IP Cam, which seems to establish a lot of connections I did not ask for. But the Cam needs to send email for the motion...

    RT_AC66U 5G

It is the older model, not the B1. I managed to get it to work, by installing another firmware : 3.0.0.4.382_50470-g033b865.

    RT-AC66U

I agree with the misconfiguration - both devices use the same network chip ( actually the same software ). They are still reachable under the given static addresses. For the time being I blame the devices.

    RT_AC66U 5G

    That would be : 3.0.0.4.374.43_33E7j9527

    RT_AC66U 5G

I have serious problem to get the 5G-part to work. The network is visible, when I scan networks with my phone, but no connection can be made.

    RT-AC66U

That could be a good point, working on it... Btw, both devices are internet radios with a static IP, 10.0.0.38 and 10.0.0.34.

    RT_AC66U client list

Thanks, I did the manual assignment.

    RT_AC66U client list

In the orignal Merlin firmware I could change the client names in the client list. How can I do this in the fork ? Reason : Some Windows PCs are listed with the same name ( the workgroup name ). Interesting : Not all members of the workgroup got the same name.

    RT-AC66U

    Did that, but still a problem. But, now I get some more info : Jul 21 10:53:04 dnsmasq-dhcp[826]: DHCPINFORM(br0) 0.38.0.0 02:0f:b5:e6:9b:44 Jul 21 10:53:04 dnsmasq-dhcp[826]: DHCPACK(br0) 0.38.0.0 02:0f:b5:e6:9b:44 Jul 21 10:54:09 dnsmasq-dhcp[826]: Error sending DHCP packet to 0.38.0.0...

    RT-AC66U

I am running the latest version of Asuswrt-Merlin. My systemlog gets filled with entries like that : Jul 20 18:52:38 dnsmasq-dhcp[1317]: Error sending DHCP packet to 0.38.0.0: Invalid argument Is there a way to find out which device is causing this ? 0.38.0.0 does not exist in my network as...
