    Using 40_beta3 on my RT-AC68R and I have been up for over 10 days. It wouldn't hurt to try beta3 to see if it works for you. You can always revert back. Some people are also claiming stock 583 is stable for them.

    Have you tried changing the Wireless Control Channel for your 2.4GHz frequency? Common channels to try are 1, 6, or 11 since they do not overlap. Manually try one of these channels and see if your performance increases.

    My unit never showed the CPU temp under Tools > Sysinfo. I could only see it under Administration > Performance Tuning. Sysinfo says RT-AC68R for Model. Should this info be available here with the newer firmware (40_beta2?).

    AC68R and AC68U have the same hardware and are identical except for the model number. Perhaps the AC68R you had/have was/is faulty from the manufacturer. Myself, and others on this board, who own the AC68R are not plagued with anything different than those who are using the AC68U.
