I managed to solve the problem on my side. In the .ovpn file from my provider the custom setting "keysize 256" is set in the custom settings field. Removing that line (and thus reverting to the standard RSA keysize of 1024) solved the problem for me. Happy with running 388.2.2 at last!
Loaded the most recent ipvanish ovpn configs (23-4) And reverted back to 388.2 again. Didn't work either. Compression is at lzo adaptive. So now back on 388.1 again, which is (and always was) working flawless. Does anyone has an idea what to try next?
Thanks. Will try this solution later for ipvanish. Using Merlin 388.1 and vpnmon-2. After upgrading to 388.2 VPN was broke, so reverted to 388.1 for now.
Viktor Jaep,
Excellent work on vpnmon-r2. I really love the script and it is perfect for recovering from dropped VPN connections. I would suggest a minor change in your next version. I used to run several vpn's simultaniously each in another country, but vpnmon-r2 resets all vpn's that startup...
