Well, because the mouse over description says that Auto means 802.11ac, 802.11n, and 802.11a. Since I don't want 802.11a, I selected N/AC/AX Mixed which the mouse over says means Maximize Performance but does not allow 802.11a devices.
I can confirm this bug as well. But after using Ctrl + F5 it displays correctly after that. It's just displays wrong the first time changed. If you log out and back in, mine displays correctly when setting a specific channel. I have not tested auto because I always manually assign a channel.
