I did a dirty upgrade to this firmware 30 min ago. Upgraded from 46061 via the asus router website.
Config:
1 xt8 node ( wireless backhaul)
1 xt8 router (AP mode)
1 provider main router
Passcode less than 32 characters
Was feeling adventurous as well, so hoping for the best.
Node is still...
I put this idea into action. Had some problems with weak backhaul connection on 42095 with yellow lights unable to fix. So I decided to flash everything back to 46061 and try your plan slightly different.
Connection: internet provider router(wifi disabled) with cable to-->AP mode main node with...
I assume you are talking about Mbps

Thank you for your reply. Is your node providing wifi? Or only the ax is doing this?
Update:
Just wanted to report a wireless backhaul failure. On my pc connected to the node I noticed slow internet connection. Websites loading very slow. Did a speedtest and my speed was reduced severely well...
Nice layout Daffy. I can imagine if the router shows problems regarding connection, it would make sense that the node would be affected as well.
What if you try using the wifi connection from your node instead of that secondary router AX-RT58U. (Maybe like this you will see more errors?) Is...
Yes, I have it as well. But weird that they removed it. Knowing it is the most stable for alot of people. Thank you for sharing.
Update:
Main device back to 42095.
Also interested about this 2022 message written in red on asus website. Is our model flawed in some way that we can't get stable...
As promised reporting back:
On wireless backhaul AP mode 46061 fw on main device and node. Again timeouts in the logs and one new msg stating misc error. Clients disconnecting and unstable internet from the node. I am tired of this so I put the node back to 42095. The main device I will leave...
In my case during testing I used the one from asus website regarding 42095. No issues found with this one from the website, that was a few days ago.
Update: Still monitoring logs for both devices on 46061, no timeouts detected. And no complaints about internet from the family. For me the...
I can confirm that after my last post, I have not received any timeout messages. Regarding the assoc and deassoc messages, I see them most of the time after a "client weak signal strength" "remove client" message. Probably the client is reconnecting to another node while moving with the device...
You gave me an idea. I saved the settings and reflashed the node from 42095 again to 46061 and only on the node did not do any wps reset. The plan was to upload the settings from the old config of main device 46061 and node 42095. But I did not do a reset so I think it should be the same...
If you log into the router, go to administration--> restore/save/upload settings, you should be able to save and upload them later. Never tried this yet, so maybe someone else can confirm. Did notice this later on.
Regarding the wps method reset, in my case before I was having more...
