Need QoS that's actually working. Is QoS better on Asus or Netgear?

Yes, I have above 35db attenuation and I have both Asus DSL-AC68U and Netgear D7000 at home right now for testing but I can't find CRC errors info in the D7000 modem-router, it only shows me attenuation and SNR info. Any thoughts?

Need QoS that's actually working. Is QoS better on Asus or Netgear?

I had routers from Netgear and TP-Link and none satisfied my needs which are: Laptop A needs to have the highest priority when it comes to bandwidth. All the time. So even if laptop B is hogging the wireless network with torrents for example, I want laptop A to have the full bandwidth the...

Which Modem/Router combo for a small flat in Italy?

My download Noise Margin is 7.6 db and Line Attenuation is 36.5 db. I'm on Infostrada at 8 Mbit/s. As far as I know this numbers tell that my line is not very good and that I'm far from the Telecom exchange cabinet?

Which Modem/Router combo for a small flat in Italy?

So I checked the prices on Italian Amazon and my choices at this budget come down to: - Netgear D6100-100PES - TP-LINK Archer D5/D7 Which one?

Which Modem/Router combo for a small flat in Italy?

Yes, I'm quite far from the exchange hence the maximum 8 Mbit.... Currently I have a Netgear DGN2200v4 ADSL2+ modem+router combo which sucks big time. Multiple issues like unable to establish 300 Mbps Wi-Fi connection and QoS setup resets itself each time the router is restarted. Channel 6...

Which Modem/Router combo for a small flat in Italy?

Hi guys! Me and my wife live in Italy in a small apartment. Not a lot of Wi-Fi interference from neighbours. We have an 8 Mbit/s ADSL2+ Internet but will have faster fibre-optics if rumors come true and our neighbourhood gets lucky this year. We have two AC laptops, two AC smartphones and a...

Guest Network - Disable Intranet Access is not working

I know this is Merlin's firmware topic but Bing sent me here and I didn't want to open another topic. I'm using stock firmware 3.0.0.4.376_1071. No matter if I set the "access intranet" on guest network to enable or disable I can always access all computers on the guest network and browse their...

Why isn't Netgear WNR2500 available in Europe?

Wouldn't dare buying it without Tim reviewing it first :)

Why isn't Netgear WNR2500 available in Europe?

Thanks, Tim. I will look into universal power "warts" although I don't like the idea of it; don't ask me why :) About the charts, I thought that the throughput vs. attenuation chart is applicable since it provides us a chance to compare new and old routers. Maybe it would be a good idea to...

Why isn't Netgear WNR2500 available in Europe?

Thanks Roger, I'm aware of all the "shortcomings". I just need a simple/cheap router with an extraordinary range. Today, after writing to various Netgear email addresses in various countries for the past few months, I finally got an official answer from Netgear Netherlands: "The WNR2500 is an...

Why isn't Netgear WNR2500 available in Europe?

That's no problem actually as I can order it online on eBay and it will be delivered to Europe. But what about the voltage? Will it support 220V if I buy it from USA? If not, I guess I'll just have to fork out for N66U which is sold in Europe. I wish I could get some official answer... Thanks guys.

Why isn't Netgear WNR2500 available in Europe?

The range this router has is by far the best on the market at this price point. The speed matches much more expensive Asus N66U at remote locations: http://www.smallnetbuilder.com/lanwan/router-charts/graph/118-2_4-ghz-profile-up/1113-asus-rtn66u-dark-knight/1238-netgear-wnr2500...

    NETGEAR WNR2500 reviewed

The range this router has is by far the best on the market at this price point. At least according to SmallNetBuilder. However I live in Europe and can't find it anywhere to buy. I couldn't get a single response on the topic from Netgear. Does anybody know whether this router will ever be sold...

Does anybody know why this router isn't available in Europe? Or if/when it's going to be? Thanks.
