Hi, I have the RT-AC86U. When I click the check update button, it states temporarily unable to get the latest firmware information. Anyone else having this issue? It’s been going on for days... I’m a little paranoid because recently my system just got hit with ransomware.

Okay, so after some reading someone suggested I try a VPN on my iPhone. I downloaded TunnelBear on my iPhone and turned it on and guess what, it works! Why do I need to use a VPN in order to get the ASUS iPhone app to connect to my router via LTE? Any suggestions on how to get it to work...
