RT-AC68U WAN disconnects since firmware 376 and above

I've got the same problem here with N66U. It works up to 376.48_3 but it breaks with any higher firmware. The problem is the pppd version. pppd 2.4.5 (in 376.48_3) works. pppd 2.4.7 (since 376.49) doesn't work. Maybe RMerlin knows more about this issue?
