[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.19 beta is now available

Odd - same thing happened on my 86U, and formatting the JFFS partition did solve it for me.

amtm - the Asuswrt-Merlin Terminal Menu

People more knowledgeable than I on this suggest ext4, with journalling, and a 2Gb swap file.

amtm - the Asuswrt-Merlin Terminal Menu

Install amtm, and use its menu (in an ssh terminal) for formatting, rather than using the router GUI. [Correction: you already have amtm installed if you are on the latest firmware - you just need to launch it in a terminal window. See post #1].

Firmware "Check Update" just spins and spins with no response

A search for "Check Update" found this similar thread, with a few suggestions for fixing it.

[Release] Skynet - Router Firewall & Security Enhancements

I'd wager it bugs me more than it bugs you! My evidence: I had to write a blog post explaining this, and at one point, even had a Twitter bot that replied to any use of the phrase with "are you sure you don't mean 'raises the question'", linking to an explanation. The bot was eventually banned -...

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.15 Beta and 384.13_3 are now available

Updated from 384.15 Alpha 2 to beta - no issues encountered, plus the OpenVPN config export is now working!

[384.15_Alpha - builds] Testing all variants.

I've just read through all the pages of this thread, and don't see mention of this: After I dirty-flashed my 86U from 384.14, the OVPN server was no longer generating configuration files. So yesterday, I did the full L&LD nuclear reset, and flashed the 384.15 Alpha again. Reinstalled...

    Diversion - the Router Ad-Blocker

I got my app to work by following dnsmasq.log in Diversion, and whitelisting all the Amazon-related domains that showed up as blocked. Besides the automatically-whitelisted domains in Diversion, here's what I added.

[Beta] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.9 Beta is now available

He can't add it -read the post two up from yours. And it's hardly a "forgotten" router for Merlin - you have a 384.9 beta.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 384.8 is now available

Recommended, rather than "necessary". I've never had trouble flashing with the USB mounted, but some have, and ejecting it frees up memory which helps ensure a successful flash.

[beta] amtm v1.6_beta, now with Disk formatting automated

All sorted, thanks! The 10-day trial of Paragon extFS for Mac allows read/write to ext4, so I copied the files over to the Mac, formatted as FAT, then used AMTM to format as ext4, and copied the files back from Mac to USB. DCL reports a clean disk, and fdisk reports Device Boot Start...

[beta] amtm v1.6_beta, now with Disk formatting automated

Thanks. Just MacOS and Win10 available, at least for today, so I'll try in the week from a Linux system, unless I get impatient today (it's not a big deal to reinstall, at least after backing up whitelists etc.).

[beta] amtm v1.6_beta, now with Disk formatting automated

    Formatted using beta1, yes (though running beta2 now). Output of fdisk: Disk /dev/sda: 4004 MB, 4004511744 bytes 124 heads, 62 sectors/track, 1017 cylinders Units = cylinders of 7688 * 512 = 3936256 bytes Disk /dev/sda doesn't contain a valid partition table So I guess I should probably...
