[HACKED?] SSH not working all of a sudden (and strange log lines) - RTAC87U

Even with a new device, do use OpenVPN to ssh to your router from outside. Plain WAN access is way riskier.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.5 is now available

AX86U here. No problem at all. You say you proceeded with an old config. Did you restore some old settings backup? If you are having problems, do a hard reset and configure everything from scratch. Cheers

    VPN Server on port 53/443?

This +1000!! It took me a while before finding the solution in those same threads.

AX86U Wi-Fi connection gives my Wi-Fi devices public IP addresses and Router IP doesn't get detected in network scans.

What happens if you disconnect it from you ISP device? Does it give you any address?

AC86U 5Ghz internet speed much slower out of nowhere

This guide by @L&LD might be helpful. If nothing works then I'd go for the nuclear reset that is linked at the bottom... https://www.snbforums.com/threads/troubleshooting-101-asus-rmerlin-routers-2020.65438/#post-605773

AC86U 5Ghz internet speed much slower out of nowhere

I just noticed (probably unrelated to your speed issue) that you have port forwarding for VNC. If i am understanding correctly, this is a security risk, I'd recommend setting an OpenVPN server in your router and connect through VNC using the local intranet.

Have you checked if your fixed channel got some new interference? Fire up the site survey and see. If channel 36 is too crowded it would be a likely cause.

    SHA 256 Verification failure?

The SHA256 hash from the download page is for the .trx file. You are applying it to the whole compressed folder (.zip file)

GT-AX6000 - some devices cannot connect via WiFi

Do you mean Kindle Paperwhite 5 (11th generation?) Asking because the Kindle paperwhite 5th generation is over 10 years old.

    GT-AX6000 Bufferbloat

When I had a slower connection I used FlexQoS with fq_codel and set an even lower limit (maybe try 40?). I'd keep trying with different methods, and re-evaluate if the higher download bandwidth is more important to you than bufferbloat. If it isn't, and Cake does the job, maybe stay with it...

    GT-AX6000 Bufferbloat

Why is your upload setting equal to your available bandwidth? From what I have read, you should also set it to a lower number. I'd try 45 Mbps (90%)

Multifunction printer working via LPR...scanner not working

I see. Maybe there's a firmware update that addresses this issue? I found this updater tool at Canon Asia: https://asia.canon/en/support/0400150802 Hope it helps
