Would using USB 2.0 mode get better 2.4 GHz WiFi distance? I'm thinking about getting a Wifi Garage Opener/Closer and was hoping it might increase the signal, or is only transfer speeds affected...
Thank you letting us know that "Reducing USB 3.0 Interference" has moved. I was wondering what happened to that option. So in order to get the quickest speeds of my USB NAS Drive connected to this port. Should it be set to USB 3.0 or USB 2.0?
I appreciate your help.
I've noticed similar issue with my AC88U. I too have a 100 mbps plan, not sure how long before it starts degrading but I can currently only get about 30 mbps. I guess I too will have to reboot nightly in order to get full bandwidth until there is an updated firmware that resolves this issue...
I just checked and I'm also facing this issue. Everything seems to run ok, will just leave it for now. Hopefully, the next firmware update will resolve this.
Been using the AC88U for quite some time now. The only issue I've have is when backing up my recorded tv files to my 4 TB portable drive which is connected to the USB 3.0 port of the router. This action always seems to bring the NAS functionality to a halt. Wifi & local network seems ok, but...
I appreciate it. I believe if you disable USB 3.0 Interference on the Wi-Fi Settings you should get much faster transfer speeds. I would think the AC5300 would get similar or even better speeds than the AC88U. Thanks again.
Hello... may I ask what type of speed are you getting with your NAS setup? I currently own the 88U and I'm getting a max thru put of about 103 MB/s. I believe the 5300 has the same cpu and memory, so I'm curious if the NAS speeds are any better or worth the upgrade.
Thanks for your help.
Greetings all and thank you RMerlin for your continued support. Has anyone tested the NAS features? I'm only getting about 35 MB/s throughput when copying files. On my refurbished 87U I was getting 65 MB/s. I've tested both stock and Merlin's latest alpha with same results. Might I have a...
