Finally Sick of UBNT. Need AP -Without- Corp. Network

Sorry for the price-thing. I was too fast and took the first price I did see. ... Being an electronic-engineeer, specialized in data - I have just seen too many "thinking Cisco is just the best", making them look a bit funny, like VIP's, to me and my collegues. Thing is, if it has got the...

    How To Fix Wi-Fi Roaming

I don't understand, what you mean. (I am only talking about the AP's - nothing to do with switch & router) (and my setup is not BS or marketing - it is working IRL, for 1½ years now ... even with 5 ipcams doing realtime 24-7 streaming, parallel with normal wifi bandwidth usage). (Cisco, Asus...

Finally Sick of UBNT. Need AP -Without- Corp. Network

Are Cisco really worth it? I have, so far, been thinking and reading, that AP's and Wifi in general, is held down by max allowed signal-sending strength, and the very nature of the signals, spreadings, obstructions, etc. etc. ? ... with the best, being able to be "better" because of good...

Finally Sick of UBNT. Need AP -Without- Corp. Network

Hii I got curious, as you answered my first input at SNB. I do now see, that you are buying and dealing in a whole other "price range" - understanding that the Ciscos you have ordered 3 of, seem to cost around 700-800 GBP each ... whereas the Unifi-AP's and Asus-router solution only costs...

    How To Fix Wi-Fi Roaming

Why upgrade?: Because of "curiosity" and "the need for speed and new stuff" - I guess I'm human. Unifi-setup : - 2 unifi AC-LR's. - placed appr. 12 meters from each other, with 3 "thin" wall in between (damping around 45 dB (down to appr. -75 dB). - I was from the beginning 100% sure, because...

    AIMESH or Access Points.. ???

I might have a helpfull input: LAN-Cables to both units. Is annoying at start - but will make wifi-roaming (which the Aus-Routers also do) work faster and extremely stable. I have not used this solution, though. My solution is an Asus-Router wifi-roaming solution - but it is one made out of...

    How To Fix Wi-Fi Roaming

a bit late for this. UNIFI is my experiment. I have 1½ year experience with Asus-AiMesh (wifi-roaming) - which functions very close to 100% and have been stable. I wanted to "upgrade" and Ubiquiti Unifi (AC-LR) seemed perfect. BUT, turns out, that they don't release units, at least not the units...
