    2.4ghz low speed concern

theres 2 different versions, and I just tried the 2nd one, both are supposed to be the same chip and same drivers. Both work, but only one is consistant with 110-152mbps connecting and switching between 270-400mbps tx/rx rate.

    2.4ghz low speed concern

I forgot to mention all my measurements were done on my LG G8x. Now I went back and tested a wifi dongle i had bought like 3-4 months ago with the correct drivers, And I hit between 130-192mbps @ 8ft on 2.4ghz using rt-ac3100. But that only lasted a few times now its back to 96-100mbps. Heres...

Wifi speed slow with a protectli(pfsense) and r7000

Yes i use, more than one app, but they're all seem to show the same channels used. Is there another app i can use for available bandwidth with in a particular channel?

    2.4ghz low speed concern

I also have the RT-AC3100 with Merlin, and I have set modulation scheme to MCS 11 nitroQAM 1024QAM and I get around the same speed 98-105mbps.

    2.4ghz low speed concern

When i looked up reviews for both r7000 and r7800 I see that there 2.4hz speeds during their testing were in the low to mid 200mbps. How can i achieve that kind of speed in a single stream to clients?

Wifi speed slow with a protectli(pfsense) and r7000

both my R7000 and R7800 w/ cfw only get 450-505mbps @ 8ft on 5ghz. and only get 98-101mbps @ 8ft on 2.4ghz. I dont know why I can not get more on the 2.4ghz when the ch. that is least congested is used and only have set the settings to only N and 40wide bandwith

    2.4ghz low speed concern

I currently had R7000 custom firmware and now i have the R7800 voxel 1.0.2.97, I never had any issues with slow speeds on 5Ghz 10-30feet with either of them. BUT both have low speed on 2.4ghz, both get around 101mbps @ 8ft. idk what is the issue here, anyone can chime in with some tips i can try...

    R7000 (vortOx) GUI on R7800

Thank you for the advice, but i did hear that Openwrt has no acceleration? Not sure what that really means or how it affects downloads or uploads? But Voxel does have acceleration.

    R7000 (vortOx) GUI on R7800

I don't care much for updates, I'm more concerned of longevity, stability, reliability and most of all performance. for both 2.5ghz and 5ghz in 10ft and 40ft distance in AC routers i do not plan to go AX any time soon

    R7000 (vortOx) GUI on R7800

I see, so going from R7000 to the R7800 is a good jump or should I just go with the Asus RT-AC3100? is the ac3100 better or par with r7800?

    R7000 (vortOx) GUI on R7800

its a darn shame that the R7800 has a Qualcomm Atheros chipset and drivers or source files are open source for better tweaking?

AiMesh - zero clients on the node after 1 day

Anyone know if its true that using Aimesh node is better than setting up 2nd router as repeater because aimesh does not sacrifice speed or bandwidth to make connection?
