either keep ASUS ZenWiFi AX (XT8) or get axe16000, at least mine is stable with merlin, i didnt keep it stock for very long since i much prefer a cleaner look
I got the axe16000 yesterday and after few hours of tweaking and flashing merlin its pretty solid, I cant test the full potential of the WAN my ISP is 600mbps but i did connect at 2.5gbps and 10gbps to my switch, dual wan seems solid and so far so good
i been eyeing the MikroTik RB4011iGS+5HacQ2HnD-IN and flint 2, but unfortunately neither offers 10gbe or 5gbe and dual wan. I did reach out to the founder of flint 2 and seems they might be working on flint 4
really wow so seems the axe16000 with updated firmware is still only supports 10 or 2.5gbps out of the 10gbe ports, im disappointed i just ordered a axe16000. Good to know about the ax6000. I currently have ax86u-merlin and its been solid just lacks the 10gbe ports
I currently own the ax86u merlin since its a excellent router with plenty of wifi performance, and i just ordered a axe16000 so use as my main router to take advantage of the dual WAN and 10gbps ports for my soon to be NAS from Ugreen
if you did all of that testing then you already know the culprit. is your router running hot? my ax86u runs hot, so i have a fan on it and drop my temps to 50c mostly. i would do a hard reset and try again if same results then maybe you got a bad router
how can you say the built in wrt speed is not reliable, i ran back to back test, and my test speeds on my ax86u and ISP are consistent with what i should be getting
