    Why don't routers have 10GbE ports?

    I'd like 10G at home, but mainly 'just because'. Until multi-terabyte SSDs become common for storage, I can't see this being of noticeable benefit as people are still bottlenecked with single hard drives or NASes based on spinning disks.     I preferred the Untangle interface and reporting over pfSense. I was put off by having to set up firewall rules in two separate areas of the GUI though. IIRC, anything besides udp/tcp has to be done somewhere obscure- I discovered this when I could ping from my DMZ into my LAN. Nice to see that...

    Ubiquiti Adds Three Managed Switches To Its UniFi Platform

    The smaller form factor for the 8 port POE capable switch is appealing over the 150W version. I wonder though if dropping support for passive POE means that they're finally going to upgrade their APs off 24V passive.
