Is there a limit of number of bridges / vlans?

Thats interesting, I'll give it a try, maybe this eapd version is also fixing my problem by supporting more than 5 vlans.

Is there a limit of number of bridges / vlans?

I wonder why you were able to use your pfsense vlan setup before without disabling ctf. With ctf enabled, only 1 ssid/vlan was working correctly for me. DHCP IPs were correctly assigned according to the vlan but traffic was tagged with the same vlan regardlesss which one it should be. I don't...

Is there a limit of number of bridges / vlans?

Do you set the lanX_ifname, lanX_ifnames nvram values and reastart eapd after that (like in my script that I just shared)? For me this works at least for 5 vlans / bridges.

Is there a limit of number of bridges / vlans?

Thanks for you answer. Unfortunatly, it doesn't depend on the "vlan"-number, or at least it also doesn't work with the numbers I've tried so far (last time I tried vlan21 and 30). My WPA2 handshakes fail when using bridge br5 / lan5_ifname(s) and above, with 0-4 it is working fine. Here is the...

    NAT acceleration in AP mode?

Thanks, I'll put that in my script so I can stop the traffic monitoring. Yea it seems to be somehow related to the issue in your linked post.

    NAT acceleration in AP mode?

Sorry for opening 2 threads in a short time but this is not related to my other post. I have an AC66U with Johns Fork running in AP mode. When setting up multissid with vlan tagging (the tags then are send to my opnsense which is doing the rest) I had a big issue. When first connecting to any...

Is there a limit of number of bridges / vlans?

After switching to opnsense as my mainrouter, I'm using my AC66U (running Johns Fork) in AP mode. I'm scripting it to tag different SSIDs and LAN-Ports with VLANs and send the traffic via a single connection to the opnsense what worked quite well for some SSIDs. For some others WPA2...

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

It doesn't look obvious for me but after carefully reading #1 again I got it now. "E"-Versions = default and "L"-Versions = legacy, I'm already using an E-Version. So I'll fix my web interface and then I'll follow the upgrade matrix. Thank you. :)

[Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374.43 LTS releases (Archive)

I'm on an old version of this fork and want to upgrade to the latest one as well as switching from Rotuer-mode to AP-mode. The problem is, my webui broke for me somewhen in the last month (dunno why, I configured an ip filter and https for the webui and it worked well for month, I think my...

Accesspoints with multiple ssids and vlans (and maybe mesh)

I wish I could write an easy explaination for that. Unfortunately it is highly individual per router and usecase what to do, there are even differences in firmware versions (eg. iptable rules) but at least you have the same routermodel so it is comparable. You need: a "services-start" script...

vlan with internet access for 1 wireless client and 1 lan-port

I'm not sure if you really need the same that I did. I don't have IPTV but what I read in the forums people mostly want to tag the traffic of a device with a vlan tag so that the internet provider thinks it is the correct IPTV device or something like that? Thats not what I did, I needed to...

Accesspoints with multiple ssids and vlans (and maybe mesh)

I've moved to a new apartment. Unfortunately I have to change some bits of my network setup and I want to improve the network (in regards of isolation / vlans and VPN) at the same time. For that I'm still looking for a wifi solution that fits my needs. I read a lot in forums and blogs about...

connect to OpenVPN from same lan

Thank you very much. This is working! And it's logical that it does since 192.168.0.2 goes out to frontrouters LAN and then back to the WAN port of the ASUS while 192.168.1.1 would go to the LAN interface of the ASUS. Only strange thing I noticed is, that my download speed is now limited to my...

connect to OpenVPN from same lan

Which option do you mean? In android you have 2 sliders: always/automatically connect to vpn block everything when not connected Both together make it an "always on" connection. Since an outside-to-in solution is not my preferred solution I'll first have a look into the issue why theres...

connect to OpenVPN from same lan

Thanks for your detailled answer and for that hint, I will have a look at this. Mhhh, maybe the issue is something about my double-NAT setup. I have a router from my ISP that I have to use and have my ASUS routers WAN port on it's LAN port. So there is Internet -> Unsecure Crap Router...
