    Release [Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374 LTS release 52E7

Hi, I don't remember well... An old browser could help with the list of ssids (plain I.E. or firefox) rather than Chrome or Edge, but I'm not sure I could make it work. :p Better stick to Asus FW if it's used only as Media Bridge? Good luck/cross fingers,

    Release [Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374 LTS release 52E7

"Media Bridge" mode indeed, sorry. Using only the Wifi connection as a receiver (with a plugged ethernet device) and not really as a "router"/wifi Access Point... Well I may doing something wrong, it's just a thought about past experience (in case some had the same?) and how I could do it...

    Release [Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374 LTS release 52E7

I updated my RT-N66U (Asus Restoration Tool) and it worked fined in Client mode. However after I did a reset using the reset button: it's now "freezing" on the Wifi AP list when trying to use the Client mode again... Is there a better way to reset it or a known issue with the reset button ...

ASUS RT-AX68U vs RT-AC68U. Worth the Upgrade?

Right, that's what I feared. Thanks for sharing! I guess I'll stick to AX68U unless I read better reviews...

ASUS RT-AX68U vs RT-AC68U. Worth the Upgrade?

Nice info, I'll go for the AX series as well rather than older AC rigs... Do you have some feeddback for AX56 and AX58 models ? Would you recommend them or rather to stay away even for entry level ?... (They can be found second hand around 110€ compared to newest AX68 new for about 70€ more...

    Beta [Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374 LTS release 53D1

I'll try and flash it to my N66U if I got some spare time... :p Thanks4all,

ASUS RT-AX68U vs RT-AC68U. Worth the Upgrade?

Ok, thanks for the tip ! AC3100 is RT-AC88U looks like... Nice, it's around 120€ second hand here. (I got one of those last year in my hands for a few months.)

ASUS RT-AX68U vs RT-AC68U. Worth the Upgrade?

Yes I'm interested in range / wifi signal comparison between AX68 and AX88 if you had the occasion to deploy both? (Around 200€ in France for a new AX68 and same price for a second hand AX88. No need for extra features, only wifi with wifi 5 "ac" devices/clients for now.)

    Release [Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374 LTS release 52E3

I just installed release 52E3 on my N66U with Asus Restoration tool + miniCFE (clear Nvram) and client mode is working beautifully (*) ! (*) I had some trouble with release 47 or so and reverted to Asus stock but that's old history. ;) Thanks 4 all the great work ! Can we contribute ? (paypal)

    Release [Fork] Asuswrt-Merlin 374 LTS release 49E4

I guess it could be linked to daylight saving time, 1 hour offset that was witnessed with other beta firmware 386.xx ... Did you try 5.30am and check it's on as you would like? I can also test on my N66U (Brussels EU GMT). Cheers,

RT-AC88U about to go out of the window

802.11ac beamforming you can activate for 5ghz radio if I remember well... (And no "Universal beamforming" as you have - or is it the other way around?) My AC88U also gave me some troubles at first (default settings - Merlin 384.19) but I had it sorted after some trial&error and it's now rock...

Firmware support and new router buy.

Right, not "thermal" - internal design only (pictures). ;)

Firmware support and new router buy.

Nice comparison/review : https://www.mbreviews.com/asus-rt-ax58u-vs-rt-ac86u/2/ Internal thermal design is mentioned (AC68U issue vs AC86U being Ok) and a 2021 update with latest firmwares would be nice. Conclusion: indeed wifi6 laptops/smartphones will take over n/ac devices within the next...

    Router temperatures

I know you're talking about AC86U but if it can help : I got a 6°C drop on CPU just placing my AC88U vertically (LAN ports on top) instead of horizontally!! Greater than expected... (Now 63°C) (Vents and internal radiators position facilitate the hot air evacuation this way it seems!) Cheerz' &...
