    RT-AC86u Officially announced

    Cortex A53 is 64bit arch. Period. AC86U is starting to show up in europe, but is extremely expensive. It costs more than AC88U.

    I was having random reboot problems with rt-n18u with hgg* firmware, i only did factory reset from gui. Then hggomes recommended factory reset with reset button and that resolved reboot problem.

    Hggomes firmware has realy great wifi coverage even if you stay within legal tx power. But i also live in isolated area, so i don't care of it is illegal.

    Merlin to DD-WRT to Merlin

    Ddwrt is only good for old routers, which doesn't have manufactures support anymore. I would never flash my asus router with ddwrt, stock or merlins fw is much better.

    It's not high end enough. Costs less than $100/100€.

    Just pppoe, wifi and dhcp (some IPs are manually assigned). Everything else is at default. Tried lower wifi power (5%), but it didn't make any difference.

    Nothing, it's clean, just standard cofiguration, nothing else. 190-200MB free memory.
