    It turned out to be that the router and the powerline were using the same IP address. When I changed the router to operate from .3 to .254 it fixed the problem. Powerline was on .1 and the router on .2. Thanks for the help

    Thanks for the tip. I swapped the cable out between the PL and Router to one I can guarantee works but I'm afraid I get the same issue.
