    Updated my 3100 to 384.9 working ok except native IPv6 is broke. Works fine on my 7800 and my Linksys no go on the 3100.

    Just a FYI Netgear supports all the DFS channels in there firmwares. Not sure why Asus does not.

    30-30-30 resets do NOTHING on Asus routers. Try a proper reset by powering on the router while holding the WPS button till the power led flashes if possible.

    This is true but by the time it fails from over heating it will be time for a upgraded device anyway. Bottom line a fan is not needed in most cases.

    Also the fan is not needed i have had the 3100 since 2015 turned on 24/7 and never had a issue with over heating these chips are designed to be hot.

    As of now there is no patch for Asus routers stock or Merlin builds. The clients are really what needs the patch.

    Yes it affects AC clients as well. On the Netgear site of affected devices there are AC wifi adapters in the affected list.

    Yes and this is unfortunate. I guess the wifi industry is about to get a much larger market soon. LOL I bet you will see marketing terms all over them like. This product is Krack patched. O shirt i better buy it. :eek:
