Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.4 Beta is now available

Just to throw my hat in the ring, dirty upgrade on RT-AX86u Pro from 3004_388.8_4 to 3006.102.4-beta3 and it's working flawlessly for me. My setup isn't quite as complex as others of course, but was as smooth as one could ask for. Thanks as always Merlin!!!

Fing showing DHCP Proxy WPAD error running Merlin 388.1 on RT-AX86U

Oh no, all thanks is to you and the other amazing folks that make this code happen, and support people like me. Every time I open an app on my phone and the ads are blocked, I smile a little more!

Fing showing DHCP Proxy WPAD error running Merlin 388.1 on RT-AX86U

@Skeptical.me that setting you mentioned that Merlin has in Tools seemed to do the trick. After enabling I no longer get that warning. To be honest I didn't put too much stock in it since Fing was unwilling or unable to explain exactly what it meant and it never caused any issues, just more of...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.6 is now available

Dirty upgrade from 388.5 to 388.6 and so far so good. Logs look good, no latency, everything fired right up! In my experience, the latest builds seem to handle old configs better than they used to, but maybe just my perception. Thanks @RMerlin as always, you rock sir!

RTAC68U with Merlin & privacy vpn

😂🤣😂 100% I feel your pain! Delivering this message goes over worse than going to the doctor. I often have to time my change windows with my wife going out of town!

RTAC68U with Merlin & privacy vpn

My two cents, and there are a lot of smarter people who can give you better advice likely, but for what it's worth anyway. If you keep what you have, make the AC86U you main and the AC68U your node. I've always had better luck with AI mesh using the more powerful router as the main. But...

Guest network (IoT) and network time

This may not be the right thread for this, but the closest I could find so please forgive my ignorance. I don't use Yazfi (highly considering but just haven't had time to dive into), but have used Guest wifi for a while to isolate IoT devices I don't trust. I used to set both 2.4 and 5ghz to...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3004.388.5 is now available

Dirty upgrade from 3004.388.4 and no issues so far. I usually do the full reset, but in this case wife closed my change window :p Thank you @RMerlin and everyone else spending their time and skills to make this happen!

    Ai Protection Google Email

So just did a factory reset, reverted to stock fw until the new Merlin build is out of beta and this is my outcome. Using a google app password, got the initial email from the router saying it was good to go (below). Then a few days pass and Trend Micro hits on a few sites, well 22 over all...

uiDivStats uiDivStats - high cpu usage

Awesome news! Glad to hear and happy to help. But I will say I can take no credit for this. I went through this exercise just a few weeks back and thanks to @Tech9 , @L&LD , @gattaca , @Crimliar to name a few, they gave me great advice that I am happy to pass on.

uiDivStats uiDivStats - high cpu usage

Your edit is spot on, trying to migrate them over is going to give you problems because Entware and your scripts all live on the swap. Not to say it's impossible, and there are smarter people here who know how to do this and can likely walk you through it. I feel like I've read a thread...

uiDivStats uiDivStats - high cpu usage

@bjark you have a bit more complex setup than I do, as I'm only running Diversion, Skynet, and uiDivStats, however I can tell you 100% of my problems were related to the drive I was using to the host the scripts. I was using a typical usb flash drive, and once I moved to an SSD, these issues...

Skynet Skynet keeps failing to start

Just a suggestion and not sure how much this will help, but if you running your scripts and swap on a flash drive, move to a SSD. I made that mistake on my initial setup, and it caused all sorts of unexpected and odd behavior with Diversion, but I'm sure it would impact Skynet as well...

USB recommendations for Diversion / Skynet?

So one minor challenge, not really an issue per say, I've encountered with Skynet. It doesn't seem to be updating the stats automatically. It is working and it updates manually and I can see the stats via ssh, but I am fairly sure this wasn't the case on my previous build I killed. If I...

USB recommendations for Diversion / Skynet?

Everyone, thank you again for your help. Completed new setup today and is working better than ever with the SSD! If I could kick myself in the butt for waiting to do this, well you know 😂 With the flash drive I killed, Diversion and Skynet ran great, but UiDivStats was pushing my io so much...
