Access router web interface from local network using DDNS

Thanks everyone for your answers. I haven't added the entry in dnsmasq, I first wanted to confirm that it is a valid workaround for this issue; great to see that it is and that it will work. I understand that I can ignore browser warning and that my connection will be fully encrypted, I still...

Access router web interface from local network using DDNS

Because the browser will complain when accessing it through HTTPS as the certificate is for another domain (the DDNS one) Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Access router web interface from local network using DDNS

Hi everyone! I've recently upgraded my RT-AC68W from 380_69.2 to the latest 384.4_2 and wanted to use this new cool feature of generating SSL certificates using Let's Encrypt. However, I'm having trouble accessing the router web interface using DDNS name from the local network, it seems router...

    Printer in Guest Network...

Hi OAM, I had exactly the same case you describe, this is how I solved it. I'll let the most experienced guys in the forum to assess how secure this setup actually is. Create a new guest network without isolation (Access Intranet = on) Connect the Printer to this new guest network (it is now...

    Using Tor + DNSCrypt?

Yes, I also thought it would be intolerable slow as you describe it, just wanted to give it a try but it all seems that I will pass. Thank you!

    Using Tor + DNSCrypt?

Now that latest version of Asuswrt-Merlin (378.52) includes experimental Tor support (thanks Merlin!), I wanted to get to know it / experiment a bit with it. I'm concerned of the privacy/security of my internet browsing, maybe too paranoic for a home user but just think that there is no reason...

    OPENVPN - google authenticator

Hi Merlin. Just wondering if this is still not in your plans. Would be very nice to be able to add this extra layer of security to home VPN, and would be a very cool addition to your firmware IMHO. Thanks.

Why UPnP settings are listed on WAN section?

It's my understanding that UPnP is intended to be used on local network only and that in fact, some vulnerabilities were discovered that allow some access from the WAN. Shouldn't it be on LAN section or am I mistaken?

    Asuswrt-Merlin 376.49 is out

First of all, thanks Merlin for all the hard work and the excellent firmware result of it. Just upgraded from 48_3, did a Factory Reset and when configuring everything again I noticed that "Advertise DNS to clients" option is missing from OpenVPN Server settings. Is this a bug (i think so)...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 376.48 is out

First of all, thanks Merlin for all the hard work! :) Second, I apologize if this is already reported (couldn't find it) but I just upgraded to 48 (and later to 48_1) and notice that the visual indicator of used/free space of my usb drive is no longer working (see attached image) Nothing...

Guest Network - Disable Intranet Access is not working

Hi Merlin! I've recently upgraded to 376.47 from 374.43 and just curious decided to test this feature again. On 376.47 I am able to ping the router while on guest network, and I'm almost 100% sure that this was not even possible back then when this problem was fixed. I do see the rule that...
