"I have never ever reset my router (any of them in 25 years), after an update, and I'm not going to do it (too much time setting all again). And... suppose yo have "auto update" set. If I do not read Asus support page, I would no know there is an update nor the advice to reset."😆 No...

Combine ASUS and tp-link in mesh network, possible?

Easymesh is a standard, adopted by many brands. TPLink has OneMesh as propietary, but newer TPLink models use EasyMesh too. Asus only uses propietary AiMesh. But you can combine TPLink, Cudy, Mercusys, Netgear, DLink, ZTE etc. in a EasyMesh network. Many ISP routers also support Easymesh.

Solved XT8 Solid Blue LED after Factory Hard reset.

I think it is a nonsense, but ok, you are right. "follow the QIS to set up your router again." Too much work, too much settings, ports, macs, custom names and icons in lots of devices, usb users... So, now that routers update automatically, do you have to check new versions only to reset...

XT8 connection stability - is it stable?

I have never had connection stability with my XT8 HW1. There are about 30 devices with no problems. We do not need to pay attention to router. It just works. I have ipv6 about one month ago, and no problems yet. Mine is rock solid.

Solved XT8 Solid Blue LED after Factory Hard reset.

I have had asus routers for about 15 years. I have never ever reset settings after an update. And no related problems at all. Asus doesn't recommend it, they don't say it is necessary, only if you have problems. And I'm not going to set alll settings again every time. I enter my asus panel once...

    XT8 guest network

The guest network grants IP addresses in a different range than the main network when you select client isolation. So, for example, a guest cannot print to your printer or view your shared folders on your computer.
