    Advantage of a dualband SSID

    Thanks for your reply! I am aware that 5 GHz band is prefereable. What I want to know is, would it better to have ONE SSID spanning over both bands, or to have a dedicated SSID per band (e.g. Network24 and Network5).

    I have one access point in my appartment (Zyxel NWA1123). Since the ap has 2 radios, I'm wondering about the best configuration. What would be the advantage of having the same SSD on 2.4 and 5 GHz? Or, as an alternative, would it be better to have to separated SSIDs per frequency band...

    Smoke detector AP upside down

    Has someone tried a Zyxel NWA1123-NI (or any other smoke detector like AP) upside down? I don't want to mount it on the ceiling. Instead, it should be placed on a cabinet upside down. Have you experienced any performance degration or any other problems? Thank! Jochen
