VPN killswitch reset?

I'm running 386.10 and now 386.11 on an RT-AC86U. The VPN killswitch (enabled through the VPN Director) was activated (properly + because of VPN server downtime, probably) but now no matter if I connect/reconnect to the VPN server and/or reboot the router it seems that the VPN killswitch...
