    The super quick answer is spoofing. The bottom line is my Xbox was spoofing my phone's MAC because I wanted to play Xbox while in a hotel and it's a quick and easy way to connect to a hotel's network. Sad thing is I forgot about it. I have not used that Xbox One in a few years.

    Guys... I am so stupid... I just realized what the issue was... Long story short: the MAC address was the same on my phone and Xbox... So the reason why we were dropping so much was because of the MAC conflict and the forwarding of the packets.

    I started having wireless connectivity issues recently. It seems that for whatever reason why my cell phone is connected and my son's Xbox is connected we are constantly dropping in and out. As soon as one of us disconnects the other one stays on with no issues but as soon as we connect again...
