Fritz is connected to the WAN port on ASUS (same one previously used by Technicolor modem).
I think I’m screwed. :(
I had to go from 1Gpbs to 2Gbps - even though I can’t posssibly use it since I don’t have any 2.5G devices in the house.
They *had* to switch the modem.
Is there a way to...
Hi everyone!
Yesterday I was upgraded from a 1Gbps/100Mbps to 2Gbps/100Mbps cable connection.
During the process they (ISP) switched the provided modem/router from Technicolor CGA4236AON to FRITZ!Box 6660 Cable.
While Technicolor worked flawlessy in bridge mode, allowing my GT-AX6000 to fully...
Just switched to Merlin.
Can't believe ASUS left (one of its) flagship routers on the backburner. Embarrassing.
Did a factory reset before flashing just in case.
Flashed Merlin.
Factory reset again.
(that dd-wrt muscle memory caution will never leave me. lol).
Set everything up. So far so good.
Hi everyone!
What’s going on here?
GT-AX6000. Latest official ASUSWRT (3.0.0.6) firmware.
Separate IoT WiFi started going hayware yesterday. Constant reconnects.
I tried rebooting the router, and turning on and off the IoT WiFi (under the Guest Pro settings or whatever).
Eufy security...
Here, here!
Tha fact that it’s simply accepted on this forum that a €300-400 router needs to be fully (hard) reset after (every?) firmware update is mind-numbing and actually really infuriating to read.
My experience with ASUS is … mixed so far.
I lost my AX86U after that dreadful...
Hi!
I’m running a single AX6000 on the latest firmware (3.0.0.6.102_21514).
Unfortunately, DDNS isn’t working, ie. it’s not updating after a WAN IP change.
I have a NO-IP account properly configured and it updates normally when I manually confirm/apply the settings in the DDNS tab of WAN...
I'm running the official firmware: ASUS GT-AX6000 Firmware version 3.0.0.6.102_21514
Set up no-ip myself. So far so good...but then again, it previously worked with ASUS DDNS until first WAN IP refresh.
We'll see. I'll report back.
…but this is then a relatively new occurance, ie. in the last update or two?
Because OpenVPN worked flawlessly until a month-ish ago (after one of the latest firmware updates). :/
Hi everyone!
I’m having issues with VPN (tested both with Wirguard & OpenVPN). There seems to be an issue with DDNS not properly updating the WAN IP (I’m on a cable connection with IP changing every 3 days - no CGNAT, ISPs modem in bridge mode).
What this means is that I can connect to the...
I did all that.
Something was off in the Wireguard's handling of DDNS->IP mapping it seems. Kept reverting to the last (known) WAN IP before the DDNS was initialized.
Restared the router. Seems to be working OK (for now).
I'll monitor it and report back if any other problems arise.
