    Gbit QoS, router choice

    Yes, not a 24/7 load.

    Gbit QoS, router choice

Can anyone confirm that the RT-AX88 can handle full Gbit throughput with fq_codel QoS active? My current RT-AC87U (dual core) can't, since the HW accel. gets disabled. Getting capped at around 5-600 Mbit or so, with 100% router CPU usage. The RT-AX88 has higher clock frequencies and a newer...

    Gbit QoS, router choice

A server with some heavy torrenting, and a gaming PC. Ideally I would want to use the full Gbit bandwidth but without the ping spikes.

    Gbit QoS, router choice

Hi! Anyone happen to know of a router that can handle full gbit speeds with QoS enabled? Mikrotik, Ubiquiti, Asus newer routers even? Thanks!

    Thanks, I'll look into this!

ASUS RT-AC87U on CenturyLink Gigabit Fiber

Is your hardware acceleration active? Check either under LAN -> Switch Control, or Administration -> Performance Tuning. If your router CPU% is hitting 100% during speedtesting, that's also a sure sign that it's not active. Seems that it looks a little bit different for all routers, but ideally...

Looking for advice handling heavy traffic

Hi! I'm sure this has been asked before, so please feel free to point me in the right direction. What I have: 1 gaming computer 1 HTPC/NAS/PLEX/torrent server with a 4 port Intel Gbit NIC, Windows 10. Pretty big usage spikes Asus RT-AC87U, currently using adaptive QoS Gbit fiber What I'm...

    Wired Speeds Bottlenecked

Yep, that and remove the MAC adress seemed to finally fix everything =) Thx

    Wired Speeds Bottlenecked

I have the same problem with my RT-87u, full hw accel is broken for me in the last 2 firmwares (CTF(Cut Through Forwarding) is enabled.). NV RAM cleared and factory default, same problem in the latest ASUS default firmware. No QoS, no security settings active.

Looking for feedback: PPPoE and poor WAN performance

Confirmed, deleting the MAC address in the MAC address field gave me all my speed back again. Thanks for figuring that out!
