    hehe. i know there must have been a stupid reason why this would not work. you're right... i add the ca to the server1 drop down and not to the client1 dropdown. working great now and this is favourite firmware!!! thanks!

    I pasted the VPN's ca.crt file contents into the certificate key text area of the setup initially and that's the error I get.
