Inconsistant Guest Network 1 Access from Main Network

I did a hard factory reset on the router and recfigured it from scratch. I have not even connected therenode yet. I connected 2 cameras to Guest Network 1. They will not stream. Do you think this is intentional and that streaming when connected to a node is a bug? Even though they are on...

Inconsistant Guest Network 1 Access from Main Network

Thank you for the advice. I had already done a "System Reboot". Based on your advice I removed a camera from the system, unplugged the node, rebooted the Router through the app, plugged in the node. I then added the camera to the Guest network. It is closer to the Router, so it connected...

Inconsistant Guest Network 1 Access from Main Network

I have 2 identical TP-Link Tapo C120 cameras connected to my Guest Network. They both have 192.168.101.xxx IP addresses. They are also both configured to stream via ONVIF (hence rtsp) to my AgentDVR. One works perfectlly, streaming via rtsp after connecting to...

AIMesh node vs Access Point mode / AIMesh Router in AP mode

There is another difference. I do not think that the Guest network propgates to the APs, but can to the mesh nodes.

    Release ASUS RT-AX82U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388_24232 (2024/03/06)

Can anybody explain what changed? What does "disabling guest network internal access" mean? This update broke my guest network from my node, which is the 82U.

    Frequent Disconnects

Thanks, but I wonder why it changes? It just sits there--untouched--and then disconects and reconnects.

    Frequent Disconnects

I have an RT-AX300 Router and RT-AX82U AiMesh node. I have a device (a Harmony Hub) with MAC address 00:04:20:F3:7E:09 connected to it from 6 feet away. The hub is bound to the 82U. It disconnects several times per day, with messages like this in the log (these messages are after a system...

    Release ASUS RT-AX3000 AND RT-AX58U- Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388_23925 (2023/09/27)

Interesting...thought it is not on the US website, my router is offering the upgrade through its GUI.

    Release ASUS RT-AX3000 AND RT-AX58U- Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388_23925 (2023/09/27)

23924 has been a disaster for me, running out of memory every few days and crashing. 23925 does not show up on the website for the AX3000. Where are you finding it?

    Release ASUS RT-AX3000 Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388_23556 (2023/06/20)

I upgraded to this version and reconfigured a mesh system with one RT-AX82U node from scratch. Very disappointing that a very very serious bug remains (it was also in the previous 2 firmware releases). Within 24 hours of usage, I got many many messages in the log like "kernel: #033[0;34m[NTC...

    Release ASUS RT-AX3000 Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388.23403 (2023/05/31)

I did, but I should be able to configure it any way I want, right?

    Release ASUS RT-AX3000 Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388.23403 (2023/05/31)

This release claime to fix a memory leak, so i was hopeful that it would fix the "Could not allocate requested buffers" bug I had reported with the previous firmware. But alas, NO. It happened to me 3 times today, with a complete lost of functionality until reboot. I hope ASUS will fix this...

    Release ASUS RT-AX3000 Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388.23403 (2023/05/31)

Odd... my AX3000 reports it as 3.0.0.4.388_23285, and it does not appear on the website.

    AIMesh System Reboot via ssh?

Great thought. I have keys setup so I do not need to enter a password to ssh. "ssh [email protected] reboot" works to reboot the Router. However, the same command for the Node times out. I then opened an ssh window to the node and typed reboot...thus, it rebooted second. All was well after...
