Could somebody explain which of these three ASUS routers is "better", please?

I did the same when the AX86U was first released and am running Merlin on it. Very happy. Its been rock solid and performs great. I have Cox cable/internet with 500 Mbit/10 Mbit (down / up). While the upload speed sucks, I don't need Gigabit speed/price to get the higher uplink speed. The AX86U...

Wow! Never ceases to amaze me just how much work it takes and the dedication you have for maintaining this project. The Merlin user community certainly appreciates it. Thank you so much for your status update. Take care and stay safe. Regards, Jims S.

Asuswrt-Merlin is now 10 years old!

Congratulations, and more importantly - Thanks for all you've done these past 10 years. I jumped on the bandwagon with my N66U way back when, and used Merlin firmware on every ASUS router I've owned since - AC86U and AX86U most recently. It has truly made my online life much more secure and...

    Newbie to ASUS and Networking

Factory reset return all settings to their "default" settings out of the box. So you will have to do a full setup as if the router was new. So be sure to screen-capture or jot down all your customized settings.

getting this message every 5 seconds in my log. Please help

Yeah, I suspect its not Guest Network related. However, after rebooting my AIMesh routers, the message no longer appears for some reason.

ASUS Merlin 386.2_4 AiMesh not handling Guest Network properly

Indeed. I discovered that after setting up Guest Network 2 (and verifying that it worked), I went merrily about my way. For other reasons, I later rebooted the AX86U / Mesh network and the Guest 2 SSID disappeared (no longer visible to client devices). I went back to the Router GUI and found...

getting this message every 5 seconds in my log. Please help

I am getting this in my log now as well. Do you have a Guest network enabled? I think I started seeing this after I enabled Guest Network 2 fo r the 2.4 GHz bandwidth. More research needed. Edit... Not related to Guest Network. I removed the Guest network and the messages still get...

Cutting the cord with cable company

My Cable company (C.x) publishes on its website the manufacturer/model Docsis modems that are compatible and supported on their network. I purchased one and then went online in my account to register the new modem. Until the modem is registered on a valid account, the network won't initialize...

    Disable new Firmware warning?

Check Administration -> Firmware Update page. Just set the "Scheduled check for new firmware availability" to NO. Since you didn't say what firmware version you're running, it might not be available. But it is there in the current Merlin 386.2
