    I’ve seen this behavior before. You have to forget the already configured networks on the client. Restart/reboot the client and manually setup the hidden network.

    I think your mixing the terms backhaul and mesh (or it sounds like you are). Maybe I’m not completely understanding you. The backhaul is the mesh network (they are not two separate entities). You can use a wireless or wired backhaul to each node to configure the mesh network but not both at...

    yes, however, now you're using the 5g2 as both the mesh network and to service clients. This effectively limits speeds to half.

    The 5G2 is always used as a wireless backhaul for wireless mesh network. It is not possible to use the 5g1 as the wireless backhaul for your mesh network. The only thing you can do is use a wired backhaul, turn off 5G1 and unhide 5g2

    What if you run an ethernet wire from your RT-AX58U switch port to your XD4R Wan port? You should be able to configure the mesh node properly without having to worry about what IP network address range is set as the default for the XD4R.

    It looks like this ability to use the USB device on a node is not available if the Lyra Voice is the main router. It only works if the main router has this functionality built in.

    I've been waiting forever for the 386 base for Lyra voice (have two of them). Am going to try the link provided heretoday. Hopefully, Asus will release fully supported version soon (same goes with RT-AC5300 - i only see a beta version for this).

    Multiple usb drives via USB 3 hub on AC68U

    The ORICO A3H4-BK power usb 3.0 hub worked but I had to reboot the router with one usb drive plugged in, wait 5 mins, and then plug in another.
