Thanks for the call out! What looks too good to be true often is! Hopefully this can be part of a future firmware update!

    Unknown MAC Address in logs

Once you select "enable wireless MAC filter", you can select whether you'd like to create an "accept" or "reject" list. I created a reject list and added this MAC address, but lost wifi to all devices. As far as checking Network Map > Client Status (or Network Map > Client List), this MAC...

    RT-AX86U and Fiber

I need to try this now! Been wondering if there is an easy way to bring everything in my network to 2.5gbe, and this may allow me to do it for around $200 (cost of an unmanaged 8 x 2.5gb switch + USB 3.0 to 2.5gb Ethernet)!

    Unknown MAC Address in logs

See original post… i already tried blocking the mysterious MAC address via “wireless MAC filter” reject list, and when I applied the changes, both bands of WiFi went completely down. No wireless devices were able to connect until I reversed this filter. I had to plug directly into the router via...

    Unknown MAC Address in logs

I have tried disconnecting from my network, disabling MAC randomization, airplane mode, and even turning off my phones. Also, iPhones show up as 2(AX) devices, not 3(b). So I am pretty sure it it not due to any of the iPhones in the house (no iPads). Also, i have tried the basic troubleshooting...

    Unknown MAC Address in logs

I've gone room by room in my house several times to make sure there are no other IoT / wifi-enabled devices, or even electronics, that I am overlooking. I've even checked to see if any of my appliances were wifi-enabled that i was unaware of. It could be a neighbor's IoT device that isn't...

    Unknown MAC Address in logs

Always the exact same MAC address. And I’ve tried switching SSID and it followed. Not so much worried about it as a threat at this point as I am annoyed by the constant logs and figure it must be wasting resources if it’s constantly authorizing and deauthorizing.

    Unknown MAC Address in logs

Good question, but no. It does not look similar to any other MAC addresses from devices currently or recently on my network.

    Unknown MAC Address in logs

In my General Log, I see many reported events of an unknown MAC address being authorized and deauthorized every few seconds: Mar 2 21:09:26 wlceventd: wlceventd_proc_event(505): eth6: Auth D4:A6:51:30:C4:94, status: Successful (0) Mar 2 21:09:28 wlceventd: wlceventd_proc_event(469): eth6...
