Further to the above message, there is something wrong somewhere with v41 too. v41 will not work on one of my RBR50 Satellites. So far I have rolled the non-working one back to v40. On both v41 and v42 access to the internet is block by the Satellite.
Am having trouble with v42 of the firmware. I upgraded my Router and 2x satellites this morning but could not connect to the internet. Have now downgraded back to v41 and all is good again. Am not sure what is going on or how to diagnose things further.
Thanks @Voxel
I understand your points.
Notwithstanding what you say regarding upgrading your firmware to your later firmware, on both my RBS50 satellites, they would not upgrade from .37 to .38 with first going to the Netgear V2.5.2.4. On other releases I have not had such an issue.
@Voxel - question what is the RBR50 Router trying to access to determine if it is connected to the internet?
I have my RBR50 in AP mode behind the main router. The RBR50 has a purple light on it, but I DO have internet access. The RBR50 status page suggests I don't:

I still have an issue with the last build of the Orbi Satellite firmware. It will not load either via wifi or via a direct network cable to the satellite.
Has anyone use this utility to update the firmware?

Hi
Is anyone having issues loading the latest firmware? Am a loyal follower of this firmware for several years.
Normally, it is straightforward. This time my first satellite ended up on a default IP 192.168.1.250 and currently refuses to work. The second satellite will not upload the new...
@schmellic and the others contributing to the RBR50v2 conversion conversation...
Can anyone tell me though, once the RBR50v2 is converted to an RBS50v2 and on Voxel firmware V9.2.5.2.28SF-HW.img from @schmellic, can future Voxel firmware be loaded via the web interface directly from Voxel...
Whilst everyone here who is using your firmware am certain greatly appreciates your diligence and regular updates, as a firmware layman it would be good to see what the benefits might be to us users. Version upgrades to particular packages is great, but what does this all mean in reality. I...
To help others through my mistake when upgrading Voxel firmware - please see my post here. This is essentially the steps to load factory firmware when you have soft bricked your router or satellite, and the problems associated with doing that.
You need to be very careful to load the correct...
@Voxel - have resolved everything now. Thanks very much for your help
I updated my original post with what I did: http://www.snbforums.com/threads/custom-firmware-build-for-orbi-rbk50-rbk53-rbr50-rbs50-v-9-2-5-1-19sf-hw.64782/post-755968
Hi - that was very helpful.
I succeeded in loading stock V2.5.2.4 back on to the RBS50 but so far unable to stop it auto updating to V2.7.3.22 which would seem to be the latest Netgear firmware.
Question - Would you know what the IP address will be after loading V2.5.2.4 as 192.168.1.1 is not...
@Voxel Thank you.
I don't understand it at all.
I can ping the RBS50 when plugged into my pc directly with the 192.168.1.250 address that the RBR50 reports it is. I thought I would try to load the factory firmware via TFTP. So far I am unable to get the RBS50 into the correct mode to start the...
