    I spent a long time trying to do this with Homebridge. I was never able to get it to fully work using avahi in the merlin build or through entware. I ended up just dual homing my homebridge machine and running the avahi reflector on it. Not ideal, but got the job done.

    Merlin reverted back. https://github.com/RMerl/asuswrt-merlin.ng/commit/00a3f70623d72bc4b344cee2d1e5efff521bd6b8. I'm actually seeing better connectivity with my IoT devices on this released version than the newer one he had in the beta3. It could all be in my head as well though. :)

    Is this correct? When I choose Control D 1 (privacy protection) under ipv4 I get the following. I see the same for the Network Secutrity ones as well. The Family Friendly ones show the correct ipv4 address though.

    I really wish I could have gotten avahi reflector to work. I racked my brain and tried all of the different suggestions on here. I ended up multihoming my Homebridge server and running avahi on that. Worked like a charm. It's not ideal, but I may revisit running avahi reflector on my router...

    4856 is the only beta that will support VLANs. Asus dropped Vlans for the ET12/XT12 due to stability issues. Unless they figure them out (Which is very doubtful) they will not support Vlans. All of us have had to take the brunt of unkept promises from Asus on this. You should be able to...
