this western digital 3 TB drive was mounting before and suddenly it stopped mounting.
the logs shows that the router is reading it but usb icon shows unmounted. not sure what went wrong.

i have dual wan. both start cable and primus dsl. i have noticed that last week, my cable internet thro start became very slow when i connected it via the tp link dual wan router.
so i made it a single wan with start cable to troubleshoot and found it was very slow. my google drive forms...
http://router.asus.com goes outside to internet. but for some reason, the mac address is different from the one that i assighed static ip. now i can login to the asus home page as it assighed 192.168.0.6 as ip to this device.

i just converted my asus router to Access point. here is what i did
1. assign 192.168.0.5 static ip to the asus mac address from my tplink router
2. converted the asus to access point.
i can wirelessly connect via the asus and the ip is assigned from my tplink
however the admin GUI does...
me too. i have the same question. currently i am into double nat as i have a dual wan router and i have the asus connected as the clinet to the router and the only way i can attach my usb devices is by connecting the asus router with a double nat
i got a TL-R470T+ v2.1 and i have a dual wan with start cable and primus dsl.

i finally pitched in and bought a dedicated dual wan router. TL R470T+. i want to use my asus only as a wireless router behind TL R470T+ and add usb devices to it.

just my 2 cents. i had a similar issue last week and finally figured out that when i swithced from dsl to cable and vice versa, i had to reset factory settings. otherwise something wierd was happening.

i connected directly to the cable with my vista machine and it has been stable for last 2 days. no disconnects at all. not a single drop on the ping for 2 days.
now, i am going to start this experiment next week by resetting my firmware and restoring to factory settings and post what i find...
