The 5-GHz-2 radio has stopped transmitting any signal on my GT-AX11000. I have not touched any settings in the router for months and the 5-GHz-2 wireless signal stopped this morning. Have tied multiple reboots, etc. It shows as active in the settings but it isn't transmitting anything, none...
Stay away from 3.0.0.4.382.50010 it is junk. I have a moderate size network in a 1600 SQF apartment with approximately 30 wireless devices and 30 wired devices. Five of my older wireless devices refusing to connect and many that do lose connection. Had to role back to 3.0.0.4.382.19466 which...
Any further updates from folks who have upgraded on any issues and the stability of wifi now that you have been running the new firmware for a week? Was thinking of upgrading this weekend as my current release needs to be rebooted every 4 to 6 weeks as the wifi and port forwarding stop working.
Is their an ASUS router with equivalent or better capabilities than the Ac3200 that doesn't have this nvram issue as I assume this is a hardware limitation so my hands are pretty much tied here?
Yes some have an underscore or a dash in the name (not all). It saves the port forwards with the dash or underscore fine if I only enter a couple of port forwards. Again if I enter more it loses them all.
STAY AWAY if you use multiple Port Forwarding rules. Will not hold more than a 3 port forwarding rules, at which point is loses all port forwarding rules. This was an issue in earlier firmware and was solved for me in Version 3.0.0.4.380.3479. I rolled back to 3479 and it now holds my port...
Same issue on Port Forwarding table entries disappearing, and even worse when the router reboots the port forwards actually disappear/stop working which happens about every 2 weeks for me, meaning I have to reconfigure all port forward rules again. Makes this expensive router pretty much...
Did you ever come up with some magic to solve this?
Having port forward rules disappear every day or so now. Doesn't sound like there is a real solution here. If not any suggestion who to contact to get a refund as I need to move on from this router.
Question is can the firmware be improved to enable the WPA key rotation without the wireless connection dropping? What's best way to provide this feedback to ASUS to investigate?
PS. Running for 2 1/2 hours now without a single drop with WPA key rotation set to zero.
Per help on the router "This field specifies the interval (in seconds) after which a WPA group key is changed. Enter [0] (zero) to indicate that a periodic key-change is not required. Please input the value between 1 to 2592000 (seconds)." Sounds plausible to me that it may be the problem...
