FYI, i found the solution :) It was the Network adaptor in Windows that was the problem, http://support.microsoft.com/kb/308939 I deleted the adaptor and reinstalled it againg, and voila, all the hosts was found Again.

I know and i have already checked that before seeking help here. It is the same workgroup and the result is the same with Windows firewall ON or OFF. I have tested with a Windows 7 machine and here are ALL the intranet hosts listed? any idea of where i should look for an answer for this issue?
