    I had some similar experiences before and the problem is caused the overwhelming of my IPTV traffic. I would suggest you to perform a Bufferbloat test first. If this is the case, you may set up the QoS to solve the problem.

    Are you talking about performance issue which the IPTV traffic cause other devices losing connection within the AIMesh system ? If yes, I think setting up QoS might help.

    Asus router probably won't work with Telus Optik TV, you need to use some other routers that runs Openwrt, pfsense, ubiquiti router, .. , etc to get the right IGMP snooping and udp proxy setting to multicast the IPTV signal to the client device. Otherwise, stick to your T3200M and moca connection.

    My situation is similar, the rt-ax88u works fine as a wireless router. When configured as an AIMesh router or AIMesh node, the Lan MAC Address will show all zeroed out (see attached photos). During the AIMesh setup, it will only show up as an wireless node ( not wired one !) and the setup...
