From my experience, the three factory resets are totally expected if the R7000 has set for an extended period of time without power. Something about the capacitors in the power supply.

With the XB8 in bridge mode, the only Ethernet port that is active is number 4. The one with the red stripe alongside. See attached. It is a 2.5 Gbps rated port.
