    syslog on jffs

    Just upgraded to the latest merlin build and enabled jffs, after boot I see that syslog.log is also located on jffs partition, is this correct? wouldn't this go against "(from wiki.. jffs page) I do not recommend doing frequent writes to this area, as it will prematurely wear out the flash RAM"...

    for some reason I don't have the /opt/etc/init.d/S05syslogd .. is this supposed to be a part of the entware install? my /opt is pointing at tmp/opt that again point at entware..

    Hi I got this working but after when the system rolls the file after some time (or size of the log file) the symlink are gone. Anyway to modify the syslog so the symlink are kept?

    the html/js are real mess (no fence, just seems very hard to maintain) since no templating are used, I guess the best thing to do is start over, seems that everything is set with the hidden form fields.     thanks for the reply, seems more stable after upgrading to latest release but have set up logging as described to keep an eye on it :)

    I'm experiencing irregular reboots all the time running the latest beta on my RT-A66U and the system log window doesn't say much more than the kernel drop messages. Is there anywhere else I could look to report back sensible info?
